Scope: This AIR provides information, and data where appropriate, to help specify the design and procurement of high performance hydraulic Motors, beyond the hydraulic motors described in AS7997C. It is also intended to bring attention to the type of factors that may have to be considered for the generation of an adequate procurement specification, by either the hydraulic motor manufacturer, or the OEM user, or both, for hydraulic motors suitable for use in aircraft hydraulic systems conforming to and as defined in MIL-H-5440, MIL-H-8891, and MIL-H-8775 as applicable.
