【摘要】:p-tertiary-butylcatecholiscommonlyaddedtocommercialbutadieneinamountsof50to250mg/kgasanoxidationinhibitor.ThistestmethodissuitableforusebybothproducersandusersofbutadienewithinthelimitationsdescribedinSection1.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftotalp-tertiary-butylcatecholinhibitoraddedtopolymerizationandrecyclegradesofbutadieneortootherC4hydrocarbonmixturescontainingnophenolicmaterialotherthancatecholornooxidizedphenolicmaterialotherthanthatderivedfromoxidationofcatechol.Ingeneral,allphenolsandtheirquinoneoxidationproductsareincludedinthecalculatedcatecholcontent.Smallamountsofpolymerdonotinterfere.ThistestmethodisapplicableovertherangeofTBCfrom50to500mg/kg.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
