【摘要】:ThispartofISO10161definestheprotocolforanILLapplication-service-element(ASE).ItspecifiesthebehaviourwhichmustbeexhibitedbyasysteminordertotakepartintheprovisionoftheISOinterlibraryloanservice.ItprovidesaformalstatementoftherulesofbehaviourofeachofthetwoormoreentitiesparticipatinginanILLtransaction.Itspecifies:a.theactionstobetakenonreceivingrequestserviceprimitivesissuedbyanILLservice-user;b.theactionstobetakenonreceivingapplication-protocol-data-units(APDUs);c.theactionstobetakenasaresultofeventswithinthelocalsystem.Itprovidesaspecification(inclause9)oftheabstractsyntaxrequiredtoconveytheILLprotocolAPDUs.Itstatestheconformancerequirementstobemetbyimplementorsofthisprotocol(inclause10).ThescopeoftheILLprotocolisrestrictedtotheinterconnectionofsystems;itdoesnotspecifyorrestrictthepossibleimplementationofinterfaceswithinacomputersystem.Computersystemsmayrangefromstand-aloneworkstationstomainframes.ThispartofISO10161isintendedforusebylibraries,informationutilitiessuchasunioncataloguecentres,andanyothersystemwhichprocessesbibliographicinformation.Thesesystemsmayparticipateinaninterlibraryloantransactionintheroleofrequester(i.e.aninitiatorofILLrequests),responder(i.e.aproviderofbibliographicmaterialorinformation)and/orintermediary(i.e.anagentthatactsonbehalfofarequestertofindsuitableresponders).Variousinterworkingtopologiesaresupported,rangingfromsimpletwo-partyinteractions,tomulti-partyinteractions.
