【摘要】:Thispracticeisintendedforusebyemployersindevelopingtheirownspecificoperationstandardsforsolventvapordegreasingoperations.CertainvapordegreasingoperationsaresubjecttotherequirementsoftheNationalEmissionStandardsforHalogenatedSolventCleaning(HalogenatedSolventCleanerNESHAP)asfoundin40CFRPart63,SubpartT.Thedeterminationoftheapplicabilityofthese,oranyadditionalrequirementsistheresponsibilityoftheuser.ThispracticeisnotintendedtoaddressalloftherequirementscontainedintheHalogenatedSolventCleanerNESHAP.Developmentandimplementationoftrainingprograms,recordkeeping,andotheradditionalrequirementsoftheNESHAParetheresponsibilityoftheuser.1.1Thispracticerecommendsworkpracticesforconventionalvapordegreasingoperationsutilizinganysolventorsolventblendthathasbeencategorizedasnonflammable.1.2Thispracticeisnotintendedforuseinvapordegreasingoperationsutilizingflammable(lowflashpoint)solventsorinvapordegreasingoperationsutilizingenclosed(sealed,airtight)equipment.Forthesenon-applicableoperations,usersshouldconsultthesolventorequipmentsupplierforadditionalinformation.1.3Thevaluesgivenininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesstatedinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
