【摘要】:Woodadhesiveperformanceandcostisoftenrelatedtothesolidslevel(nonvolatilecontent).Thistestmethoddeterminestheapparentnonvolatilecontentforurea-formaldehyderesins.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheapparentnonvolatilecontentofurea-formaldehyderesinsolutionsintendedforuseaswoodadhesives.Duetothechemicalnatureofsuchresins,thenonvolatilecontentdeterminedvariesmarkedlyaccordingtothetypeoftestused.Inordertominimizethiscondition,thistestmethodisdesignedtoyieldreasonablyuniformagreementamongdifferentlaboratoriestestingspecimensfromthesamesample.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
