【摘要】:Absorbeddosesoforbelow1kGycaninactivatesomeparasites,suchasthebroadfishtapeworm(Dibothrocephaluslatus)(2).Absorbeddosesbelow10kGycanreduceoreliminatevegetativecellsofpathogenicsporeformingandnon-sporeformingmicroorganisms,suchasClostridiaspp.,Vibriospp.,Salmonellae,Listeriamonocytogenes,orStaphylococcusaureus,thatmaybepresentinfreshorfrozenproduct.4.2.1Absorbeddosesbelow10kGycanreducethenumbersofsomespores,butarenotadequatetoreducethepotentialhealthriskfrommicrobialsporesortoxins(3).Absorbeddosesbelow10kGycanreduceoreliminatethevegetativecellsofsporeformingandnon-sporeformingmicroorganisms,suchasBacillusorPseudomonasspecies,thatcausespoilageoffreshproduct,thusextendingrefrigeratedshelflifeinmanycases(4).1.1Thisguideoutlinesproceduresandrequirementsfortheirradiationofraw,untreated,fresh(chilled),orfrozenfinfishorshellfish.1.2Thisguidecoversabsorbeddosesusedtoreducethemicrobialpopulationinshellfishandfinfish.Suchdosestypicallyarebelow10kGy.1.3Theuseofvacuumpackagingwithirradiated,rawseafoodisnotcoveredbythisguidebecauseofthepotentialforoutgrowthof,andtoxinproductionfrom,Clostridiumbotulinumsporeswhichcangrowintheanaerobicenvironmentcreatedbyvacuumpackaging.1.4Thisguidedoesnotcovertheirradiationofdriedfishtocontrolinsectinfestation.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
